# Can one booking link check a Google and an Outlook calendar at once?

> For anyone whose meetings are split between a Google calendar and a Microsoft 365 or Outlook calendar: whether one TrackHeros booking link can see both before offering a time, which one the appointment goes into, and what each provider can and cannot do for a booked call.

**In short:** Yes. A TrackHeros booking link checks busy time on every calendar you tick, Google and Microsoft together, and offers only the times that are free on all of them. The appointment is then written into the one calendar you choose for the link, with a Google Meet link from a Google calendar or a Microsoft Teams link from a work or school Microsoft calendar.

| Fact | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Providers checked together | Google, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com |
| Calendar read per account | Main calendar only |
| Google Meet links | From a Google calendar |
| Microsoft Teams links | From a Microsoft 365 work or school calendar |

Yes. A TrackHeros booking link checks your busy time on Google and Microsoft calendars together, and offers only the times that are free on all of them. The appointment is written into whichever single calendar you choose for the link. This answer is for people who hold a Google account and a Microsoft 365 or Outlook account side by side — often one for themselves and one a client issued — and want one link to share.

## How does it read both providers?

Through the accounts you have already connected. Each Google or Microsoft account you connect to TrackHeros is read for busy or free over the times the booking page is showing, and the two answers are merged before a single time is offered.

Google is asked for free and busy directly. Microsoft is read through the calendar's events, because Microsoft does not offer its free-and-busy lookup for personal Outlook.com accounts; events marked busy, tentative or out of office block a time, and events marked free or "working elsewhere" do not. Either way, only each account's main calendar is read — the one Google calls your primary calendar and Outlook simply calls Calendar.

## Which calendar does the appointment go into?

The one you choose on the link, and only that one. It can be the Google calendar or the Microsoft one; the other is only checked. That calendar is always checked for conflicts too, whether you tick it or not.

The choice usually follows the client: if the meeting belongs to the client whose Microsoft 365 account you use, write it there, so it sits with their other meetings and its notes are filed under that client in TrackHeros.

## Does the provider change what kind of meeting link I can offer?

Yes, in one way. A Google calendar can create a Google Meet link for each appointment. A Microsoft 365 work or school calendar can create a Microsoft Teams link. A personal Outlook.com calendar cannot create Teams meetings for apps at all, so TrackHeros greys that option out for it rather than booking a call with no link.

Any calendar can instead use a meeting room link you paste, a phone call, an address, or a question asking the person where they would like to meet.

## What permission does each account need?

The calendars a link only checks keep the read-only access they were connected with. The calendar a link writes into needs write access, which you grant once from the link's page: Google asks you to let TrackHeros view and edit events, and Microsoft asks for full access to your calendars. Both providers grant that per account, and TrackHeros uses it only to create, move and cancel the appointments it booked.

## What if one of the two cannot be read?

Then the page shows no times until it can, and you get an alert naming the link. A page that kept offering times from the Google calendar alone would offer the hour of your Outlook meeting, which is exactly the double-booking the link exists to prevent. Reconnecting the account brings the times back.

The setup step by step, with a recruiter's three calendars as the example, is in [one booking link across several client calendars](/blog/one-booking-link-across-client-calendars/); every setting a link has is on the [booking links page](/features/booking-links/).
