# Can I edit a value in a meeting tracker by hand?

> For anyone keeping a table filled from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings in TrackHeros who needs to correct it: how to edit a cell, why an edited cell is protected from later meetings, how to restore an older value or undo a change, how to add rows and list items yourself, and who can edit a tracker's cells.

**In short:** Yes. Any cell in a TrackHeros tracker, apart from the dates that fill themselves, can be edited by hand, and the edit applies at once. The cell's history records who changed it and when, beside the values that came from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings. An edited cell is protected: a later meeting's change to it waits for review, even when the tracker applies confident values on its own.

| Fact | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Who can edit cells | The tracker's creator, admins, and the people it is shared with |
| A hand edit | Applies at once and is kept in the cell's history |
| Later AI changes to an edited cell | Always wait for review |
| Older values | Can be restored from the cell's history |
| Columns the AI never fills | Those set to be filled by hand only |

A tracker fills itself from your meetings, but it is still your table. Any cell a meeting fills can be changed by hand, and TrackHeros treats a person's edit as the stronger claim: a later meeting cannot quietly replace it. This answer is for anyone keeping a tracker on their Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls who has spotted something to correct, or knows something a meeting never said. TrackHeros is an AI meeting notetaker that connects every Google and Microsoft calendar you hold, recognises close to 100 spoken languages on its own, writes the notes in nine of them, and keeps every client's notes in a sealed workspace of its own. The feature is on [trackers](/features/trackers/).

## How do I change a value in a tracker?

Open the cell, change the value and save it. The edit applies at once, with no review, and takes the same kind of value as its column: a status cell offers your options, a date cell takes a date. The cell's history records that a person set it, with their name and the time, alongside the values meetings gave it and the quote for each.

## What happens when a later meeting mentions the same thing?

Your edit is protected. A later meeting that gives a different value does not replace it: the change waits in the Review tab, marked as changing your own edit, even on a tracker that applies confident values on its own. A meeting that repeats your value is simply recorded as a confirmation.

An example. A standup on Tuesday 3 March 2026 sets a client's go-live date to 17 March. An email the following Monday moves it to 2 April, so you edit the cell. At the standup on Tuesday 10 March somebody still says "the 17th". That reading waits for you instead of reverting the table; reject it, and it does not come back if the meeting is read again. [Why a tracker value waits for review](/answers/why-is-a-tracker-value-waiting-for-review/) lists the other changes that always wait.

## Can I go back to an earlier value?

Yes. Every cell has a history panel listing each value it has held, with the meeting it came from, who said it, when in the meeting, and the words they used. Restore makes an older value current again. It is recorded as a new entry, so the values in between are not erased.

A change the AI applied on its own can be undone. The undone value is marked as such and stays out of the table when the same meeting is read again. More in [undoing a tracker change](/answers/undo-a-tracker-change/).

## Can I add rows and list items myself?

Yes. In a table whose rows carry on across meetings, add a row for something a meeting has not covered yet; a table with one row per meeting gets its rows only from meetings. Add or remove list items by hand, such as a blocker that was cleared in an email rather than on a call. A new row flagged as a possible match is settled in review with same as or new row; TrackHeros never merges rows on its own.

For a column a meeting should never decide, such as your internal priority or an invoice reference, set it to be filled by hand only. The AI never writes it, whatever is said in the call.

## Who can edit a tracker's cells?

The person who made the tracker, account admins on a company account, and the colleagues it is shared with. A tracker is private to its creator, and to account admins on a company account, until it is shared, and it can be shared only with people already assigned to that client. People it is shared with can review and edit cells; changing the columns or which meetings feed it, archiving it and deleting it stay with the creator or an admin. [Who can see a tracker](/answers/who-can-see-a-tracker/) has the detail, and the reasoning behind reviewing first is in [review before a value changes](/blog/review-before-a-value-changes/).
