**In short:** It depends on your TrackHeros plan, and the current figures are on the pricing page. Archiving a tracker stops it reading Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings but keeps its table and full history, and archived trackers do not count towards the limit. A downgrade never deletes a tracker: any over the new plan's limit become read-only and keep all their data.

| Fact | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Trackers per plan | Listed on the pricing page |
| Archiving | Stops reading meetings; keeps the table and its history |
| After a downgrade | Trackers over the limit become read-only; nothing is deleted |
| Deleting | Removes the table and every value for good |

How many trackers you can keep in TrackHeros is a plan question, and plans change, so the figures live on one page only: [pricing](/pricing/). This answer is for anyone planning trackers on their Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings who wants to know what happens at the limit, and what archiving, downgrading and deleting do to a tracker's data. The feature is on [trackers](/features/trackers/).

## How many trackers does my plan include?

The pricing page lists it for every plan. It also says which plans let you design your own columns rather than start from the six templates, which include trackers across all your clients, and which include CSV export.

The figures are deliberately not repeated here, so this answer cannot go out of date when they change.

## What does archiving a tracker do?

It stops the tracker reading meetings and keeps everything else. The table, every value, every quote and every cell's history stay where they were, and you can unarchive the tracker later so that it reads new meetings again.

Archived trackers do not count towards your plan's limit, so archiving one you have finished with makes room for a new one. A tracker for a hiring round that has closed, or for a project that has shipped, is the usual case. Archiving and unarchiving are for the tracker's creator or an admin; people it is shared with cannot do either.

## What happens to my trackers if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted. If you have more trackers than the new plan allows, the ones you have had longest keep running and the rest become read-only: you can still open them and read every value and its history, but they stop reading meetings and their cells cannot be changed.

A read-only tracker says so on its page, with the reason, so it is never mistaken for one that has stopped working. To bring it back, upgrade again, or archive others until it fits within the limit. Its values and history are exactly as they were.

## Is archiving the same as deleting?

No. Deleting a tracker removes its table and every value and quote for good, and cannot be undone. Archive a tracker you may want to look back at, and delete one only when its data should go.

Deleting a client deletes its trackers, and deleting your account deletes everything. Backups are covered in the [privacy statements](/#privacy).

## Can I keep a copy of a tracker before I archive or delete it?

On plans that include export, yes: the current table and its full history download as CSV files, which open in Excel or Google Sheets. How that works is in [export a tracker to CSV](/answers/export-a-tracker-to-csv/).

If you are deciding which trackers are worth a place in your plan, [tracker templates for freelancers](/blog/tracker-templates-for-freelancers/) walks through the six templates and what each one is for.
