Answer

Do meeting trackers work when the meeting is held in another language?

For anyone whose Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings are held in French, Spanish, German, Hindi or another language, or switch between two: how TrackHeros trackers read them, which language the table's text is written in, what stays the same in every language, how a mixed-language meeting is handled, and what happens when the notes are rewritten in another language.

A tracker in TrackHeros is a table that fills itself from your meetings, and the language a meeting was held in does not change that. A weekly call in German, a standup that moves between Hindi and English, a discovery call in Spanish: each feeds the table the same way. This answer is for consultants, freelancers and teams whose Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings are not always in English. TrackHeros is an AI meeting notetaker that connects every Google and Microsoft calendar you hold, recognises close to 100 spoken languages on its own, writes the notes in nine of them, and keeps every client's notes in a sealed workspace of its own. The feature is on trackers.

Which languages can a tracker read?

Any of the close to 100 spoken languages TrackHeros recognises. The language is worked out from each meeting, so there is nothing to set first, and a tracker reads the same transcript the meeting's notes are written from: a meeting that gets notes can fill a tracker. The full list is on the languages page, and how detection works is on automatic language detection.

What language is the table's text written in?

The meeting's notes language. Text values, such as a description, a list item or a technical assessment, are written in the language the meeting's notes are written in, which is one of nine: English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian or Indonesian.

Two examples. A client in Munich holds its weekly call in German and its notes are set to German, so a blocker raised in that call is added to the list in German; set the same client to English, and it is added in English. A call held in Hindi, which is not one of the nine, gets notes in whichever of the nine your settings name, English unless you chose another, and its text values follow. Notes in a different language from the meeting explains the settings.

One consequence is worth knowing. If a client is set to "same as the meeting" and its calls alternate between French and English, one table can hold text in both. To keep a tracker's text in one language, set the client's notes language rather than following each meeting.

What stays the same in every language?

Everything that is not free text. A date is a calendar date, so "le 17 mars" said in a French meeting is stored as 17 March 2026. An amount is a number and a currency code, so a budget of "cinco mil euros" in a Spanish meeting is stored as 5,000 EUR. A status is always one of the options you defined, with the labels you gave them, whatever language the decision was made in. Yes / no / unclear works the same way.

What happens with a meeting that switches language?

It is read once, from its final transcript. A meeting held in another language, or in two, such as Hindi and English or Spanish and English, goes through an audio pass over the recording after the call, and a tracker waits for that pass rather than reading the live captions first. Nothing is filled during the call either way. Why the captions are not enough for such a meeting is covered in when a meeting switches language mid-sentence.

What happens if I rewrite the notes in another language?

The meeting is not read again for its trackers. Rewriting a meeting's notes in another language changes the notes; the values already in the table stay as they were written, and nothing new arrives for review. If you want a tracker's text in a particular language, set the notes language before the meetings it reads, at the account or client level, rather than rewriting afterwards.
