TrackHeros Desktop is an app for Mac and Windows that records your microphone and your computer’s sound during any call — WhatsApp, a Slack huddle, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams — with no notetaker bot joining. After the call it uploads the recording to your TrackHeros account, where it gets the same transcript, summary and action items as a bot recording, filed under the client you picked.

Coming soon to the Mac App Store and the Microsoft Store. Neither listing is live yet, so there is nothing to download today.

What it records

Which calls does it record?

Any call on your computer. The app records two things — your microphone, and the sound your computer plays — so it does not matter which app the call is in.

It is for the calls a bot cannot reach: a client who rings on WhatsApp, a huddle in their Slack, or a meeting whose host does not let bots in.

Three steps

How does it work?

  1. Link this computer

    The app shows a short code. Enter it in TrackHeros on the web while you are signed in, and approve it. The app never sees your password, and you can unlink the computer at any time from Settings → Desktop devices.

  2. Pick the client and press Start

    Choose the client the call belongs to. If the call is on your calendar, pick that meeting too: the transcript can then use the guest names from the invitation, and the TrackHeros notetaker is taken off that meeting so there are not two recordings.

  3. Press Stop, and it uploads

    The recording goes to your TrackHeros account and gets the same transcript, summary and action items as a bot recording, filed under the client you picked. Once it has uploaded, the copy on your computer is deleted.

What it keeps

What does the app keep, and where?

The sound of the call, and only between Start and Stop. It stays on your computer until it has uploaded, and then the app deletes its copy. From there it is stored, processed and deleted exactly like a bot recording.

    Your microphone and your computer’s sound. No video, and nothing on your screen.

  • Only between Start and Stop

    Nothing is recorded before you press Start or after you press Stop.

  • On your computer until it uploads

    Then the local copy is deleted. If an upload fails, the recording stays on your computer and the app tries again.

  • Linked without your password

    The computer is linked with a code you approve on the web. The app never sees your password, and Settings → Desktop devices unlinks it.

  • No analytics, no tracking

    The app contains no analytics and no trackers. Its logs stay on your computer.

  • Stored like every other recording

    Once uploaded it gets the same storage, the same hard delete and the same promises as a bot recording, set out below. No new company handles it.

Privacy

Your meetings stay yours.

  • We never use your data to train AI models.

  • We never sell your data to anyone.

  • Your data is stored so we can build your workspace — for your eyes only.

  • Delete your account and everything goes with it, for good — from our backups too, within 30 days.
